OSIJEK BLAST WASN'T CAUSED BY EXTERNAL FACTORS - SAYS INT. MINISTRY

ZAGREB, Aug 23 (Hina) - An investigation into an explosion in a container in the yard of the Osijek-Baranja County Police Department in the eastern town of Osijek last night indicates it was not caused by external factors but most probably occurred inside the container due to as yet unexplained activity, the Interior Ministry said on Thursday. Nobody at the PD was injured although three persons, two civilians and one conscript, sustained light injuries from glass debris. At 0017 hours on Thursday, a blast rocked a container which temporarily stored ammunition and explosive device which had been collected from citizens and was about to be annihilated. The entire contents of the container had been deactivated.
