ZAGREB, Aug 22 (Hina) - At a session, to be held behind closed doors Thursday, the Croatian government will discuss draft measures for the rationalisation of social rights, namely standpoints for the establishment of a social policy
by the end of this year. The issue of the reduction of social rights will be the first on the agenda of Ivica Racan's government. The government should adopt the rationalisation measures in a form of a document which should be developed through about a dozen new bills or amendments to already existing laws. The document which is to be discussed by the government tomorrow will immediately be forwarded to social partners and the public who should voice their opinions within about 15 days. measures are not known in detail, however, the state will demand that social rights e adjusted to the economic and budget abilities.
