ZAGREB, Aug 18 (Hina) - Industrial production in Croatia in the first seven months of 2001 has increased by 5.5% as against the same month last year, the National Bureau of Statistics said in a report published on its web pages. This
increase comes after a drop of 1.4% in 1999 and an increase of 1.7% in 2001. Industrial production in July was 3.9% higher than in the same month last year. In comparison to the average monthly production in 2000, industrial production in July this year rose by 7%. Over the past seven months, a relatively high growth rate has been slightly stagnating. Government officials believe this year's revival of industrial production is an important indicator of positive trends in Croatia's economy.(hina) rml
