ZAGREB, Aug 14 (Hina) - A total of 565,363 tourists were vacationing on the Croatian Adriatic coast at the beginning of this week, which is a three-percent increase compared to the same period last year, the Croatian Tourism Board
reported on Tuesday. Of this number, 503,879 tourists were foreign nationals and 61,484 were domestic guests. On August 13, Dalmatia County reported 214,388 arrivals, which is a nine-percent rise compared to the same day last year. A total of 198,934 tourists were vacationing in Istria (2% less than in 2000) while the Kvarner region (in Primorje-Gorski Kotar and Lika-Senj counties) had 152,041 arrivals (3% more).
