THE HAGUE, Aug 2 (Hina) - A spokesperson for the UN war crimes tribunal's prosecutor's office was unable to confirm on Thursday that two Bosnian Muslim generals, Mehmed Alagic and Enver Hadzihasanovic, had been arrested on the basis
of the Hague tribunal's indictments. Spokeswoman Florence Hartmann said she could only confirm that the prosecutor's office had recently served authorities in Sarajevo with several sealed indictments. She could not confirm if the indictments referred to crimes against Bosnian Croats. During the 1990s war, Gen. Hadzihasanovic was commander of the Bosnia-Herzegovina Army's Third Corps, which covered Central Bosnia. He testified at The Hague at the trial of the Central Bosnia Operative Zone commander, Tihomir Blaskic, who was sentenced to 45 years in prison.
