ZAGREB, July 27 (Hina) - State budget revenues in the first half of 2001 amounted to 20.2 billion kuna, which is 40.6 percent of the planned budgetary revenues for this year. At the same time, expenditure amounted to 24.53 billion
kuna, which is 49.4 percent of the planned expenses. Thus, according to the Finance Ministry, the overall budgetary deficit in the first six months of 2001 amounted to 4.38 billion kuna. "We keep the state budget under control. The state is solvent and it carries out its duties as planned," Finance Minister Mato Crkvenac told government representatives Thursday. The overall budgetary revenues for the first half of this year
dropped by 5.4 percent in relation to the same time period in 2000,
as against the expenditure which increased.
