TRAJKOVSKI CALLS ON ETHNIC ALBANIAN LEADERS TO CONTINUE DIALOGUE

SKOPJE, July 19 (Hina) - Macedonia's President Boris Trajkovski on Thursday called on ethnic Albanian leaders, who threatened to withdraw from negotiations with Macedonian officials, to continue their participation in dialogue so that all parties in concern could find a resolution of the current crisis in the country. "I hope they (Albanian leaders) will continue dialogue. They bear responsibility as politicians towards their voters and they also have responsibility towards the international community," Trajkovski said after a meeting with parliamentary party leaders, at which international mediators James Pardew of the United States and Francois Leotard of the European Union were present. Representatives of two strongest Albanian parties - the Democratic Party of Albanians (DPA) and the Party of Democratic Prosperity (PDP) which are members of the ruling coalition - did not show up a this meeting.
