ZAGREB, July 13 (Hina) - The strike of Sisak Ironworks' employees has resumed because the unionists yesterday rejected the management's proposal that it pay the workers the minimum wage for May and that workers give up their claims of
3.5 billion kuna, which is the difference between the minimum and full wage for April. The management has offered the unionists to pay a minimum wage of 1,300 kuna for May instead of the full wage of 2,400 kuna, which is inadmissible, said the president of the Croatian Trade Unions Association, Zeljko Mucnjak. Mucnjak told Hina the workers still insist to be paid full salaries which they worked for. He added that the strike, which started on July 5, would continue until the new management was appointed and the government took a stand on the fate of the Sisak Ironworks, which is to be decided after Sunday's vote on confidence in the government.(hina) sb rml
