WASHINGTON STREET JOURNAL' ON CRO. PARL. DISCUSSION ON HAGUE WASHINGTON, July 13 (Hina) - On the occasion of a Croatian parliament discussion on cooperation with the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY),
"Wall street Journal" on Friday published an article by Vitomir Miles Rogur, former Bosnia-Herzegovina Ambassador to NATO and the European Union, dealing with the issue: "Did the Serbs leave the Krajina region of Croatia in 1995 or were they expelled?". "The Serbs in Croatia were victims indeed, but not because of guns from Zagreb. The chief blame rests with the folly of their own leaders....who called on the entire Serb population to pick up and leave," Raguz stressed. He reminded that the then United Nations Secretary General Boutros-Boutros Ghali reported to the Security Council on August 23, 1995 that there was no evidence of systematic and widespread humanitarian law violations arising from the Croatian offensive.(hina) it
