PRISTINA, June 29 (Hina) - Kosovo officials believe the extradition of former Yugoslav President Slobodan Milosevic to the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) was a long waited, but late event. Kosovo's
television said Milosevic was extradited to the ICTY exactly 12 years after the celebration of the 600th anniversary of the Kosovo Battle, namely 12 years after his speech in Gaziestan, near Pristina, June 28, 1989. The television late last night broadcast shows on horrors committed by Milosevic's forces in Kosovo, pointing to several hundred mass graves and close to 3,000 missing persons. By the extradition, Belgrade's authorities finally admit the responsibility for crimes committed by the Serbian state machine in Kosovo, as well as the individual guilt of certain leaders, senior official of the Kosovo Democratic Party Hajredin Kuqi said.
