MOSTAR ALUMINIUM INDUSTRY SUES FEDERAL MINISTRY OF POWER INDUSTRY

MOSTAR ALUMINIUM INDUSTRY SUES FEDERAL MINISTRY OF POWER INDUSTRY MOSTAR, June 28 (Hina) - The Mostar-based Aluminium Industry has filed a lawsuit with the Federation of Bosnia-Herzegovina's Supreme Court against the federal ministry of power industry, industry and mining, demanding that the ministry's recent decision on the appointment of the company's new management board be annulled. "The decision to appoint all seven members of the company's management board means that the federation government is treating the company as its property, which is not the case," said the leader of the company's workers union, Vlado Ivankovic. The company's legal advisor Zoran Buntic said the federal ministry was not authorised to decide about the appointment of the company's management board. "This is the classic example of the executive authority interfering in court powers," he said. Buntic says the company's management board can be proposed by the owners of the company's capital

"This is the classic example of the executive authority interfering in court powers," he said. Buntic says the company's management board can be proposed by the owners of the company's capital and the company's assembly appoints it. The federation parliament should make a list of state-owned companies but the Aluminium Industry has evidence such a list has not been adopted by the federal government either, he said. (hina) rml
