BELGRADE BELGRADE, June 16 (Hina) - Russian President Vladimir Putin on Saturday evening held a meeting with his Yugoslav counterpart Vojislav Kostunica to consider issues in relation to the situation in the region, particularly in
Kosovo and southern Serbia. Putin arrived in the Yugoslav capital after his meeting first meeting with the United States President George Bush at Brdo Kod Kranja, Slovenia, earlier in the day. Russian head of state was accompanied by Defence Minister Sergey Ivanov, Foreign Minister Igor Ivanov and some other high-ranking Russian officials. Putin and his host Kostunica will meet again on Sunday morning and after that they are going to hold a news conference. Prior to their departure from Belgrade, Putin and the Russian delegation will meet Serbian Prime Minister Zoran Djindjic and other officials of Serbia's government.(hina) ms
