MACEDONIA DRAWS UP PEACE PLAN

SKOPJE, June 12 (Hina) - Macedonia's government on Tuesday adopted a plan for the settlement of the crisis and President Boris Trajkovski is going to present it to the European Parliament in Strasbourg on Wednesday. Expounding the document at a press briefing, President Trajkovski said it comprised five stages. The first one, which is under way, is a diplomatic and political action and includes the set-up of joint military and police forces under one command. The second stage envisages the military and political isolation of terrorists and the creation of conditions for a cease-fire. The third stage is the unilateral declaration of the cease-fire and implementation of confidence building measures such as the reconstruction of facilities destroyed in military operations.
