ZAGREB, June 12 (Hina) - During their meeting in Montevideo, Uruguayan and Croatian Foreign Ministers, Didiero Opertti and Tonino Picula respectively, agreed that the two countries would cooperate closely during Uruguay's presidency
over MERCOSUR in the second half of 2001, Croatia's foreign ministry stated on Tuesday. MERCOSUR, established in 1991, is an association for promoting free trade between Latin American countries. The two ministers also considered the potentials and usefulness of linking Croatia's biggest seaport with Uruguayan ports.
