PODGORICA, June 11 (Hina) - The Montenegrin parliament on Monday received two requests for the establishment of a commission of inquiry which should investigate claims made in the Croatian weekly Nacional on alleged criminal
activities of some Montenegrin officials involving, among else, the smuggling of cigarettes. The requests were submitted by Montenegrin President Milo Djukanovic, whom the Nacional weekly directly accused of criminal activities, and a group of pro-Serbian parties from the coalition "Together for Yugoslavia." Those parties have requested that the matter be included in the agenda of the next parliamentary session. The commission of inquiry should establish the existence of secret tobacco smuggling channels in cooperation with authorised state organs, heads of the Montenegrin companies implicated by Nacional and international organisations for the prevention of organised crime.(hina) rml
