ZAGREB ZAGREB, June 1 (Hina) - The sixth international exhibition of cartoons "Man and the City" was opened in Zagreb on Friday. The exhibition features 105 cartoons by 281 authors from 35 countries. "Croatian cartoons are among the
best in the world, which this show proves," said Zagreb mayor Milan Bandic opening the exhibition. The winners of this year's show are Croatia's Otto Reisinger, who won a gold medal, China's Li Hai Feng (silver) and Yuriy Kosobukin of Ukraine (bronze). The 'Oskarika' award for 2000, which is awarded to the most successful member of the Croatian Association of Cartoonists at international exhibitions, went to Davor Stambuk. Special awards were given to Victor Bogdanov from Ukraine, Julian Pena-Pai of Romania, Louis Postruzin from Australia, Dachuan Xiau from China and Giorgio Giaiotto from Italy.
