BELGRADE, May 27 (Hina) - Yugoslav President Vojislav Kostunica on Saturday was re-elected as the chief of his political party - the Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS). At the convention, 561 DSS deputies took part in the voting, and
there was no vote against Kostunica's re-election. Only five ballots were invalid. At the sixth convention, the party adopted changes in its statute in order to adjust "acts with new circumstances in the country and an multiple increase in the party membership," read a statement issued by the DSS. At the beginning of the convention, Kostnica submitted a report saying that the survival of the incumbent ruling coalition 'DOS' "will exclusively depend on the path which it has taken leading Serbia and Yugoslavia as well as on the speed of the social prosperity." He added that the DOS' further existence would also depend on the resilience of each member of the coalition and possibilities of the
