ZAGREB, May 22 (Hina) - The Croatian ministry in charge of war veterans is willing to assume care for war veterans who will be laid off during the rationalisation process in the Interior Ministry and the Defence Ministry, a
spokeswoman for the veterans' ministry said on Tuesday. According to unofficial announcements, some 20,000 employees of the Defence Ministry and 3.600 of the Interior Ministry may be made redundant. Spokeswoman Andrea Pavlovic said the problem will mainly be solved by finding new jobs for redundant employees or through their re-training or upgrading for other occupations and professions.(hina) sb ms
