VUKOVAR, May 20 (Hina) - The Independent Democratic Serb Party (SDSS) lodged a complaint with the Vukovar-Srijem County Electoral Commission for displaced persons who live in Vukovar, but have residence in other parts of Croatia, not
being allowed to vote in the electoral elections. The party claims a large number of voters called in, displaced persons from other areas in Croatia, but who live in and around Vukovar where "they cannot vote because they allegedly were not registered in the list of voters, and cannot acquire documents on residence because competent offices are not issuing them". The SDSS deems voters, displaced persons, are thus unable to exercise their voting rights, which significantly threatens the principle of equality as one of four basic electoral principles. The party suggested that the displaced voters be allowed to vote in the Vukovar area before polling stations close down at
