DUBROVNIK DUBROVNIK, May 18 (Hina) - A two-day international seminar on culture as a generator of urban tourism began in the southern Adriatic town of Dubrovnik on Friday. The seminar, organised by the Culturelink institute for
international relations and the Dubrovnik Reconstruction Institute, was opened by Culture Minister Antun Vujic and Tourism Minister Pave Zupan Ruskovic. Vujic said the two ministries had a great responsibility in achieving the best in merging culture and tourism. Ruskovic said this seminar was the first step in the realisation of Croatia's new tourism strategy. She reminded, however, the development of urban tourism required a lot of money. The Dubrovnik seminar has pooled about 60 domestic and foreign experts in culture and tourism. It will close with a round table on the challenges and possibilities of developing culture-based tourism in Croatia.(hina) ha
