Del Ponte is quoted as saying that during her visit to New York she had requested the U.N. mission in Kosovo to continue engaging international exhumation experts. Del Ponte said about 600 mass graves with the remains of 4,266 persons had been found in Kosovo. The ICTY chief prosecutor said her main concern for the time being was the hand-over of the former Yugoslav president Slobodan Milosevic. Commenting on investigations against some members of the former Kosovo Liberation Army, del Ponte said data was being collected despite some difficulties.
