said. Mesic expressed Croatia's wish to open up to foreign capital, including that arriving from Great Britain, and stressed the importance of direct investments for the revival of Croatia's economy. The British guests, Mayor Howard and his deputy Sheriff Nigel Branson, accompanied by the British Ambassador to Croatia, Nicholas Jarrold, expressed satisfaction with their visit to Croatia, and described it as very useful.
