ZAGREB, April 16 (Hina) - An association for the protection of human rights of detained and missing Croatians and their families, called "Apel" on Easter Monday held the Easter prayer in front of 'the wall of the suffering' in Zagreb.
This has been the seventh prayer gathering of 'Apel' for 1,520 Croatians whose whereabouts have been unknown since the aggression on Croatia and its war of independence in early 1990s. The association organises such prayer meetings to remind the international community and Croatian public about the unknown fate of 1,520 people. The Apel head, Zdenka Farkas, said that after today's prayer they would forward an appeal to United Nations Secretary-General Kofi Annan to call on the incumbent Yugoslav President Vojislav Kostunica to help establish the truth about the destiny of the detained and missing Croatians.(hina) ms
