PULA, April 11 (Hina) - The Istria County branch of the Alliance of Anti-fascists (SAB) in principle supports an Istria County statute passed at the County Assembly session in Porec on Monday which introduced bilingualism in the
county . Istrian SAB president Miho Valic told Hina on Wednesday Istrian anti-fascists had always advocated the equality of Italians in Istria as formulated in the Pazin Decisions whereby Istria was annexed to Croatia. "Croatians and Italians fought and participated together in the victory over fascism and I believe that Istrian anti-fascists have always advocated coexistence in this region," Valic said, adding, however, he had not yet read the statute. Valic said a session of the Istria County SAB presidency would be held on Friday when an official standpoint on the Istria County Statute would be made public.(hina) it
