ZAGREB, April 2 (Hina) - The president of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), Jakob Kellemberger, conveyed on Monday ICRC's readiness to help Croatia in demining activities and its efforts to deal with the problem of
missing persons and refugees, says a statement issued by the Croatian Government's Public Relations Office after a meeting between Prime Minister Ivica Racan, his deputy Zeljka Antunovic and the highest ICRC official. Racan acquainted Kellemberger with an estimate saying it would take 15 years to clean all mine-infested areas in Croatia at the current pace. Antunovic addressed financial problems and the need to find foreign donors. The ICRC president expressed great satisfaction with ICRC's cooperation with the Croatian government in tracing missing persons and dealing with refugee problems. He stressed the ICRC was ready to provide assistance in the resolution of those problems, the statement says.(
