ZAGREB, April 1 (Hina) - Commenting on this morning's apprehension of former Yugoslav president Slobodan Milosevic, Croatian Defence Minister Jozo Rados said Milosevic is a criminal who ought to be punished appropriately. The
international community should not make any concessions on the issue, Rados told reporters at the government building Sunday. "It is absolutely impossible to avoid international obligations and Serbia does not have a lot of options. What happened is only the beginning," Rados said, adding Yugoslavia and Serbia were facing a very difficult period. Slobodan Milosevic, known as the Butcher of the Balkans because of
several horrendous wars he launched in the peninsula, was
apprehended in Belgrade at about 04.30 am Sunday following a 30-
hour-long stand-off between the police and his security guards.
He has been charged in Belgrade with the abuse of office and has been
remanded in 30-day custody.
