Varicak from Koprivnica was sentenced to 10 years in prison while Zeljko Draskovic from Ogulin was sentenced to 9 years in prison. The three Croats were released today from a prison in Subotica after they were granted pardon by Yugoslav President Vojislav Kostunica. Up until last year, the three Croats were serving their sentences in a prison in Srijemska Mitrovica, but after a mutiny in the institution they were transferred to the prison in Subotica. The three Croats were released in exchange for five Serbs, who had been serving their sentences for war crimes in Croatian prisons. The five Serbs left Croatia for Yugoslavia via the Bajakovo border crossing on Thursday.(hina)
