The retail prices of oil products have been increased by 49 lipa per
litre because the road fees are added to Ina's selling prices, which
have been enlarged by excise taxes, with Value Added Tax being
calculated from that amount.
In a statement issued today, the Croatian Oil Industry INA reported
that changes to the Law on Public Roads introduce the obligation to
pay fees for financing the construction and maintenance of public
roads amounting to 0.40 kuna per litre for all types of petrol and
diesel fuel.
This means that Super 98 engine fuel with lead will cost 7.40 kuna
per litre instead of the current 6.91 kuna, Normal 91 lead-free
petrol will cost 6.59 kuna instead of the current 6.10 kuna,
Eurosuper 95 lead-free petrol will cost 6.79 instead of 6.30 kuna
per litre, whereas the price of Eurosuper plus lead-free petrol
will rise from 6.67 to 7.16 kuna per litre. Eurodiesel fuel will
cost 5.5 instead of 5.01 kuna per litre.
The road fee is calculated for all fuel shipments starting March 30
2001, at 00.01 hours. The new selling and retail prices for all
products subject to the obligation of paying the road fee will be
applied as of the same date, INA said.
On March 16, INA lowered its retail prices for oil products by 2.4 to
7.3 percent. This weekend will see a new adjustment of prices to the
prices of oil products on the Mediterranean market and the dollar-
kuna exchange rate.
