ZAGREB, March 19 (Hina) - The Adriatic Oil Pipeline (JANAF) and the

Omisalj to oil refineries in Novi Sad and Pancevo in 2001. #L#
Under the contract, JANAF will transport 200,000 tonnes of oil more
for Yugoslav refineries than before the war.
The value of the contract is estimated at US$ 15 million, Croatian
Television reported this evening.
Officials at JANAF expect the income from the contract will account
for one third of the overall income.
From now on, Serbia will receive its crude oil supplies exclusively
through the JANAF system, which means a permanent and probably
increasing income for JANAF in the future.
Representatives of the Serbian Oil Industry say that oil transport
via JANAF is an economical, environmentally more acceptable and
much quicker solution than others.
JANAF and the Serbian Oil Industry are interested in building an oil
pipeline which would redirect oil imports from the Caspian oil
basin via Romania, Serbia and Croatia to Omisalj thereby making it
one of the biggest oil ports in the Mediterranean.
