ZAGREB, March 21 (Hina) - Parliament's lower house on Wednesday debated a constitutional bill on the implementation of the Constitution, which also refers to the constitutional amendments adopted last year, including those regulating
the functioning of judicial bodies and the election of judicial officials. The debate resulted in a protest by the strongest opposition party, the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ), which objected to the fact that under the new law, the president of the Supreme Court, Marijan Ramuscak, who stepped into office during HDZ's rule, would be replaced. The parliamentary majority dismissed HDZ's objections and will vote on the constitutional bill and a draft of new constitutional amendments on Friday.(hina) ha sb
