ZAGREB, Feb 27 (Hina) - Employers and mine removal experts' union failed to come to terms, the union reported on Tuesday evening. A process of conciliation, in which the Croatian Demining Centre's president Drazen Budisa mediated,
failed, and therefore the leading unionists will ask tomorrow the government to arrange their reception with Prime Minister Ivica Racan. According to the union's statement, the association of employers in humanitarian demining first proposed 14,000 kuna (approximately 1666 US dollars) as a salary before stoppages on Monday morning. The union accepted the proposal, but employers later changed their mind allowing the gross monthly salary of 13,000 kuna ($1190).
