MOSTAR, Feb 27 (Hina) - An association of Bosnian Croat war veterans said on Tuesday the non-final verdict to Dario Kordic and Mario Cerkez, whom the Hague war crimes court yesterday sentenced to 25 and 15 years in prison
respectively, was reached on the basis of political assessments and not on evidence. The Association of the Croat Defence Council (HVO) Homeland War Volunteers and Veterans of Herzeg-Bosnia called on veterans and other citizens to join them in a protest rally, to be held on Wednesday in Kordic's and Cerkez's hometown of Busovaca, to express dissatisfaction with the verdicts.(hina) rml
