ZAGREB, Feb 22 (Hina) - Croatian Prime Minister Ivica Racan on Thursday said that retired general Mirko Norac was in the investigative centre of the county court in the seaport of Rijeka, adding that now the case was nominally and
formally a matter of the judiciary. It is up to all of us to believe and help Croatia's judiciary to defend Croatia as a law-based state with the quality of its performance, Racan told reporters. Prime Minister said he did not have information whether the court in Rijeka decided to enable Norac to defend himself without being detained. Racan stressed that the media misinterpreted parts of his yesterday's statement, such as his "criticising President of State". The Prime Minister reminded that under the Constitutional Law and legislation, on behalf of Croatia only the government can communicate with the Hague tribunal.(hina) it
