ZAGREB, Feb 21 (Hina) - The Large Hadron Collider (LHC) project, which is to be set in operation at the European Laboratory for Particle Physics (CERN) in 2005, creates an opportunity also for the participation of Croatian scientists
and industry. The participation of Croatian scientists in the project was the purpose of a visit by a Croatian delegation headed by Science and Technology Minister Hrvoje Kraljevic to CERN on February 12 and 13, the Ministry said in a statement on Wednesday. The construction of the LHC requires superior technology - superconducting magnets, crystal detectors and computer super-systems. The Croatian delegation also discussed the possibility of education and work of Croatian scientists and students at CERN.
