ZAGREB, Feb 21 (Hina) - The attorney of retired general Mirko Norac, Ivan Kern, expressed satisfaction with Wednesday's statement by Prime Minister Ivica Racan, who vowed on behalf of the Croatian government that the processing of the
'Gospic case', including Norac, was within the jurisdiction of the Croatian judiciary. "This is a very important issue for the Croatian judiciary, because it represents an expression of trust in its democratic orientation, namely that Croatian courts will do their job fairly", Kern told Hina. Kern also said he talked to Norac two days ago on the phone. Norac appointed Kern as his attorney. Kern added, however, he was not familiar with Norac's whereabouts. Kern also said that Norac did not tell him when he would surrender to Croatian judicial authorities.(hina) it sb
