ZAGREB, Feb 20 (Hina) - Croatian citizens travelling to neighbouring Bosnia and Herzegovina need to have valid passports, the Croatian Foreign Ministry said on Tuesday. As of Feb. 17, Bosnia's state border service is enforcing a
Bosnian Foreign Ministry instruction whereby the Bosnian border can no longer be crossed with identity cards but only with valid passports. The instruction was signed by Bosnian Foreign Minister Jadranko Prlic in view of strengthening a uniform Bosnian state border service and the rule-of-law. As of 1 October 2000, Bosnian citizens can enter Croatia only with passports, following a 75-day temporary measure when the border could be crossed with identity cards for the duration of the summer tourist season. Bosnian border police, however, allowed Croatians to enter Bosnia without passports even after said deadline.(hina) ha
