ZAGREB, Feb 16 (Hina) - Liberal Party president and MP Zlatko Kramaric on Friday commented on a statement of his that was rebuked by parliament and resulted in a request that he apologise. Kramaric had said that parliament was "waging
a preposterous conflict over two spent ideologies, the fascist and communist." He told reporters today the statement was nothing other than what he advocated during a debate when he spoke of the "third path." The citizens are tired of the past and we should turn to the future, he said, stressing it was high time to make positive steps forward in the economic and social areas, issues he said helped the incumbent ruling coalition win the January 2000 elections.(hina) ha sb
