ZAGREB, Jan 26 (Hina) - The president of European Liberal Democrats in the European Parliament, Pat Cox, on Friday visited the Zagreb headquarters of the Croatian Social Liberal party (HSLS), where he will hold a seminar for HSLS
parliamentary deputies. Addressing reporters at a short conference before the start of the seminar, Cox said he wished to extend his best wishes on the first anniversary of the charge of authority in Croatia, which reintegrated the country in the international community. Cox will take over the presidency of the European Parliament next year. Cox said Croatia's position in the EU had dramatically improved on January 3 last year. He hoped Croatia and the EU would sign an Agreement on Stabilisation and Association before the end of Sweden's EU presidency, in early July this year.
