ZAGREB, Feb 7 (Hina) - The textile and leather industry will find their place in the Croatian Economic Development Strategy, which will be completed by mid-year, Deputy Prime Minister Slavko Linic told the Economic Forum at the Zagreb
Trade Fair on Wednesday. A series of measures the government has already taken have facilitated access to some foreign markets, he said at the traditional meeting of businessmen in the textile, leather and footwear industry and representatives of the government. After briefly evaluating what the government has done in the past year to facilitate business, Linic announced a fiercer battle against "grey economy" which, he said, involves around 60,000 people. This year the economy should receive a boost from deals with the International Monetary Fund, a $200 million grant from the World Bank, and funds to be ensured by the European Union, said Linic.
