and multi-cultural society in Yugoslavia assessed on Saturday. They said one of the first steps to that end should be the rescinding of legislation, passed by the former government, which "reduces human and minority rights." The participants, senior Yugoslav and Serb officials, representatives of international organisations, minorities, non-governmental organisations and the diplomatic corps, also agreed it was necessary to pass a new electoral law to ensure appropriate participation of national and ethnic communities in Yugoslavia's politics.
