SARAJEVO, Feb 2 (Hina) - It will be suggested to the Croatian
parliament to adopt a new and harmonised policy of Croatia toward
Bosnia-Herzegovina, and this policy should include the opposition
to any kind of unilateral changes of the Dayton peace accords which
may bring into question the equal position of any of the three
constituent peoples (Croats, Moslems, and Serbs) in Bosnia,
concluded a Sabor multiparty delegation.
The Sabor representatives and their hosts in Sarajevo agreed on the
set-up of the permanent Croatian-Bosnian inter-parliamentary
commission as soon as possible and on additional bids to be made to
speed up the return of all refugees and displaced persons.
They agreed on the necessity to strengthen the economic cooperation
between the two countries.
Deputy Sabor Speaker Zdravko Tomac, who led the delegation, on
Friday said political parties on Bosnia had totally different
assessments about the real position of Bosnian Croats.
A leader of the New Croatian Initiative (NHI), Kresimir Zubak,
believes that Croats' position has considerably improved since the
international community decided to help enforce the ruling of
Bosnia's Constitutional Court which enables all three constituent
peoples to be constituent on the entire territory of Bosnia-
Herzegovina, Tomac said at the end of the two-day visit to
Sarajevo.
However, the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ BiH) have given
"dramatic warnings" about Croats' position.
Tomac said all members of the Sabor delegation held that a lack of
the respect for the equality of all the three peoples in Bosnia and
changes for the election of representatives into parliamentary
houses could push Bosnia into a crisis.
This stand will be presented to the Sabor which is to discuss this
issue next week.
