ZAGREB, Jan 24 (Hina) - The Croatian government is not satisfied with the prosecution of war criminals conducted by Croatian judicial bodies, Justice Minister Stjepan Ivanisevic said Wednesday, adding the government would propose the
establishment of a special sector in the State Prosecutor's Office which would accelerate procedures against war criminals. Parliament representative Ingrid Anticevic-Marinovic wondered who would take the responsibility should some Croatian citizens receive harsher sentences in the Hague than they would if the trials were held in Croatia. Ivanisevic said that the Constitutional Law on cooperation with the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) regulated the cooperation and according to the law regulations the ICTY could demand the extradition of any war crime suspect from the Croatian judiciary in any stage of the process.(hina) it sb
