ZAGREB, Jan 23 (Hina) - The Croatian parliament's House of Counties on Tuesday concluded a debate on the final bill on changes to the Law on Croatian Radio-Television (HRT), but will vote about it once it receives the government's
amendments. Representatives of the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) and the Croatian Party of Rights (HSP) expressed their reservations toward some of the proposed changes which were agreed on at last night's meeting between Prime Minister Ivica Racan and the heads of the party benches of the ruling six-party coalition. Opposition deputies objected to the privatisation of Croatian Television's third channel and claimed that politics would continue to have influence on HRT despite the new legal regulations.(hina) rml
