The Pristina-based Albanian language Zeri quoted UNMIK spokesman
Sunil Narula as saying the UNMIK was trying to convince Belgrade to
recognise the UNMIK documents.
Narula said the UNMIK was looking forward to an agreement
acknowledging the documents so that people wishing to travel to or
through Serbia could do so unimpeded.
The current UNMIK documents are recognised in 29 world states,
including powers such as the United States, Germany, and Great
Britain, as well as in all the countries in the region bar Serbia.
During the summer Kosovo's residents passed through Montenegro
without major hassles and can do so now by producing any
identification document.
