SPLIT SHIPYARD BUILDS SHIP FOR GREEK COMPANY

SPLIT, Dec 20 (Hina) - The Split shipyard "Brodosplit" on Friday launched a bulk cargo ship, built for the Greek company West Star Maritime Ltd, owned by Ghikas Goumas. #L# The vessel, which is worth 20 million US dollars, is the third from a series of three bulk cargo ships, to sail under the flag of the Marshall Islands. Following the launching of the ship, the keel of an oil tanker was laid. The tanker is the first of two tankers to be built for the Russian company Primorsk Shipping Corporation. (hina) rml sb
