Academician Dusan Bilandzic, secretary to the social sciences
department, said the topic was also one of the controversies of
Croatian history.
"There are scientists who claim that the year 1102 and Croatia's
joining the dynasty with Hungary was a disaster, while others claim
that this was good," academician Lujo Margetic said, stressing that
the union, regardless of its nature, had lasted until 1918, which he
said was a large part of the joint history of Croats and
Hungarians.
Speakers at the seminar analysed different aspects of Croatian-
Hungarian relations.
