ZAGREB'S MEDICAL SCHOOL MARKS 85TH ANNIVERSARY

ZAGREB, Dec 17 (Hina) - Zagreb's Medical School marked its day and 85th anniversary on Tuesday by signing a cooperation agreement with Harvard Medical International (HMI). #L# The Medicine for Humanism and Ethics Award this year was presented to the staff of the Zagreb Medical School's Forensic Institute for their exceptional contribution during the exhumation of the remains of the recent war's victims. Prior to today's anniversary celebrations, Professor Miroslav Radman gave a lecture entitled "Can we Participate in Human Evolution? - Thoughts about Life without Cancer". During the lecture, Radman reflected on the reinforcement of the genome as a way of delaying ageing and the possible manifestation of cancer from the age of 45 to the age of 80. (hina) sp/ha sb
