ZAGREB, Dec 4 (Hina) - The living costs of a four-member family in November totalled 5,089 kuna (EUR688), which is 0.27% less than in October, the Federation of Independent Trade Unions of Croatia (SSSH) reported.
ZAGREB, Dec 4 (Hina) - The living costs of a four-member family in November totalled 5,089 kuna (EUR688), which is 0.27% less than in October, the Federation of Independent Trade Unions of Croatia (SSSH) reported. #L# The living costs dropped by 14 kuna due to the minimal decrease of housing and food costs, the union said. The SSSH warns that according to the State Bureau of Statistics the average salary in Croatia in October amounted to 3,673 kuna (EUR496), which is 65 kuna less than in September but not enough for covering the basic living needs. An average Croatian family still spends the most money on food, (1,730 kuna) and housing (1,526 kuna). Education accounts for 610, clothing for 508, transport for 458, and hygiene for 254 kuna of living costs. The costs of living are the highest in Rijeka (5,551), followed by Pula (5,427), Zagreb (5,038), Osijek (5,014), Dubrovnik (5,013) and Split (4,925). (hina) rml
