manufacturing sector, went on a 15-minute strike at noon on Tuesday to show solidarity with employees of the Sisak Ironworks, the Metal Workers' Union (SMH) reported. Workers in the "Uljanik" shipyard, a few big companies such as "Djuro Djakovic", "Koncar" and "Dalekovod" and many smaller firms, discontinued their work for some 15 minutes at noon also in protest over the recent police intervention during a Sisak workers' protest. The aim of this industrial action is to warn the government about the dissatisfying tempo and manner of the restructuring of state-run companies, the union's leader, Ivo Marjanovic, told Hina.
