ZAGREB, Nov 25 (Hina) - Croatian-Israeli business meetings, which are being held at the Croatian Chamber of Commerce on Monday, have gathered representatives of about 30 Croatian and 13 Israeli companies, who are discussing
possibilities of promoting bilateral economic cooperation.

The two countries can expand cooperation in agriculture, tourism,
military and security equipment, medical supplies, and electronics
industries.
Israeli businessmen at the meetings represent companies from the
fields of information technology, telecommunications,
irrigation, security systems for industrial and public companies,
agriculture and food processing.
Croatian companies represented at the meeting include Ina,
Petrokemija, Koncar, Kras, Podravka, Croatian Waters, Water
Management, Brodomerkur, Rijeka port and others.
Trade between Israel and Croatia last year amounted to US$20.7
million, of which Croatia's export totalled US$3.9 million and
import US$16.8 million.
According to the statistics for the first nine months of 2002, trade
amounted to US$14 million, of which Croatia's export amounted to
4.8 million or 41% more than in the same period the year before,
while imports amounted to US$9.2 million or 36.7% less than in the
same period the year before.
